Cala Morrell is an off the beaten track holiday resort with small rocky coves. A quaint village ideal for rest and relaxation. Due to the lack of facilities, Cala Morrell is not recommended for families and young couples, more for those who intend on doing absolutely nothing.

Cala Morrell provides a quiet base to explore the surrounding area from. Transfer time from Cala Morrell to Mahon Airport is around 50 minutes by coach.

There is a beach at Cala Morrell but it is quite small and can be pebbly in parts but the crystal clear waters in the cove make it perfect for scuba diving and snorkeling.

There really isn't anything to do in Cala Morrell but the resort is known for the Necropolis which is 14 man made caves. Dating back to the pretalayotic period, the caves were used as a burial ground. The caves are quite something and are a must see whilst on holiday in Cala Morell.

There are not many facilities in Cala Morrell but you will find one shop, a bar and a restaurant with fantastic views over the Cala Morrell bay.

Ciutadella is not far away from Cala Morrell and has a great selection of shops, bars, restaurants and attractions.

There may not be much going on in the actual resort of Cala Morrell but there is plenty going on in the surrounding area.

Cala Morrell is around 7km from Ciutadella, where there is a shopping and entertainment park with various shops, including the island's largest Lladro showroom and various souvenir shops. When you have done a little shopping, you could relax on the grassy lawns, have a game of mini golf, have a shot on the trampolines or the climbing wall. There are also swimming pools and water slides so plenty of fun for all the family before you return to Cala Morrell.
