Binibeca is a quiet holiday resort with a few shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and has remained fairly 'undiscovered'.


The capital Mahon is just 5 minutes drive away from Binibeca and has a far greater selection of bars and restaurants. There are 2 main parts of Binibeca, the Binibeca Vell area with narrow streets and pretty buildings and then there is the Binibeca Nou area which is quiet, close to the beach and mainly residential. If all you are looking for in a holiday is a beach and some peace and quiet, the Binibeca in Menorca is the place.

Beaches on Holiday in Binibeca:

The beach at Binibeca offers beautiful white sand and is just perfect for kids on their holidays. On Binibeca beach there are sunloungers and umbrellas available to hire, as well as kayaks and watercrafts for hire. There is a beach bar offering food and drink but if you prefer to bring your own, there is a shaded picnic area towards the back of the Binibeca beach. The beach at Punta Prima which is very close to Binibeca is also well worth a visit.

Things to do on Holiday in Binibeca:

During the summer, visitors to Binibeca will be able to watch a game of cricket at the Menorca Cricket Club, something I'm sure you don't see often on a Mediterranean holiday.

The clear and colourful waters of Binibeca are great for scuba diving. Divers will enjoy the vast quantity of marine life and the beautiful rock formations in the Binibeca area. There are many dive courses available in Binibeca so it is suitable for beginners as well as experienced divers.

Another popular activity in Binibeca is horse riding. There are so many clifftop routes, coastal trails and shaded forests just waiting to be explored on horseback from Binibeca.

If you are partial to a game of tennis then there are facilities on the hill at Binibecca. The courts are not in the best condition but useable. There are far better courts in Mahon which is not far away from Binibeca.

If you happen to be in Binibeca the last weekend of August, you may want to see what's going on at the annual festival of Saint Luis. The festival features a parade, music, concerts and feasts and is a great way to get a glimpse of true Menorcan culture.

The quiet and peaceful fishing village of Binibeca has plenty of amenities, including a supermarket, restaurants and bars, although there is not much in the way of nightlife. Holiday nightlife in Binibeca is mainly centred around the restaurants, bars and hotels but it is probably adequate for families with young children. For those who are looking for somewhere a little livlier, take the bus from Binibeca to Mahon and party the night away.

Nearby Attractions to Binibeca:

There is a waterpark in Arenal den Castell which is approx 30 mins by car from Binibeca or by bus via Mahon. There are some great slides and attractions for the whole family to enjoy and it is a great way to cool down too.

Mahon, Menorca's capital is close by to Binibeca and home to a whole host of attractions such as go karting at the old aerodrome, a number of historical attractions, plenty of shopping and dining opportunities and a lively nightlife.

Very close to Binibeca there are some great markets in Punta Prima on a Monday and Wednesday morning, selling various items from fruit and veg to souvenirs.
