Playa de Muro is a relatively new holiday resort, deemed to be slightly more upmarket then the neighbouring resort of Alcudia.

Situated in the Bay of Alcudia, Playa de Muro is a purpose built resort which shares the 10 km sandy shoreline of the bay with neighbours Alcudia and Ca'n Picafort. Playa de Muro is a popular holiday choice for families with young children, much quieter than its neighbours it features a few bars, shops and restaurants

Beaches on Holiday in Playa de Muro:

The holiday resort of Playa de Muro claims 3km of the long white sandy beach which stretches for the whole length of Alcudia Bay, the beach in Playa de Muro is wide and the water shallow making it ideal for holidays for families with young children.

Holiday facilities along the beach at Playa de Muro are good with plenty of bars and restaurants to be found, loungers and umbrellas for hire and numerous water sports to enjoy including water-skiing, jet-skis and paragliding.

There is a small wooden pier along the beach in Playa de Muro where several tour boats sail along the surrounding coastline.

Es Comu beach is situated between Playa de Muro and Ca'n Picafort, and provides a quieter and unspoilt alternative. This beach is 1.5 km in length and 10-metres wide, it's backed by sand dunes and there are no facilities with the nearest restaurant to be found in Playa de Muro.

The S'Albufera Nature Park is located on the outskirts of Playa de Muro and is a must for nature lovers. The park extends over an area of 2,580 hectares, throughout you will find paths to explore dotted with hides where you can watch birds at your leisure whilst on holiday in Playa de Muro.

Playa de Muro does have a selection of bars and restaurants serving a variety of international dishes, fresh fish and even some with traditional Spanish options. The shopping in Playa de Muro is limited to the usual holiday maker outlets selling beach wear, accessories and souvenirs. In Playa de Muro there is however a weekly market and during the summer months a night market offering a variety of crafts, jewellery and more.

The neighbouring resort to Playa de Muro, Alcudia has plenty of holiday attractions on offer, families in particular will love the Hidropark which offers pools, waterslides, mini-golf and much more, there is also the Laberinth Maze and a large karting track. Alcudia is also a city of historical interest with its Roman walls, a Roman theatre, a small Roman church and even a 19th century bull-ring.

A little further inland from Playa de Muro is the old town of Pollensa, well worth a wonder it has some interesting historical buildings and the famous 365 Calvario Steps which lead to a hillside chapel.
