Aguadulce is a quiet laid back beach holiday resort located between Roquetas de Mar and Almeria. Aguadulce is located on the Costa Almeria in south eastern Spain and is suited to family holidays and older couples, rather than clubbers.

Aguadulce is a popular holiday resort with lively nightlife in the summer and a Marina with good opportunities for snorkelling, diving and sailing. Aguadulce is fronted by miles of beach and has easy access to the nearby holiday resort of Roquestas de Mar and the historic attractions of Almeria.

Beaches on Holiday in Aguadulce:
The long sand and pebble blue flag beach in Aguadulce runs from the Marina for approx 2.5km with beach bars and activities, such as pedalo hire, at regular intervals. The waters are clear and the Aguadulce beach is backed by a pleasant palm-lined pathway. The other side of the beach road in Aguadulce is lined with restaurants, pavement cafes, holiday apartments and hotels.

Things to do on Holiday in Aguadulce:
If you like a long walk whilst on holiday, you can walk along the beach path from the Aguadulce Marina to the edge of the resort and continue along the beach all the way into Roquetas de Mar (approx 5km).

At the top end of Aguadulce there is a large marina, giving you access to holiday boat hire, a sailing school and the Aguadulce diving centre offering snorkelling and diving trips, a pool, hookah diving, a dive shop and Padi Courses. For golfers, La Envia Golf Course is approx 5km away from Aguadulce.

Behind the Aguadulce marina, there is an attractive white building housing a number of shops, bars and restaurants, offering lively nightlife in the summer holiday season.

For family fun whilst on holiday in Aguadulce, there are waterparks at Vera Playa and Roquetas de Mar and these are open for the summer holiday season from June to September.

Nearby Attractions to Aguadulce:
Aguadulce has good road links to access all parts of the Costa Almeria and regular buses into Almeria (8km). The livelier resort of Roquestas de Mar and the historic Santa Ana Castle are approx 7km away from Aguadulce.

Cabo de Gata-Nijar natural park and coastal reserve which is close by to Aguadulce covers acres and acres of diverse grounds including salt marshes, cliffs, sand dunes and secluded coves. The park has a visitor centre and will appeal to all nature lovers and sight-seers on holiday in Aguadulce, whether you want to drive around taking in breathtaking views, visit filmsets, snorkel in the coves or observe the variety of fauna, birds and wildlife.

The Oasys Theme Park is set in the Tabernas Desert not far from Aguadulce and features a Wild West Town complete with Can Can girls in the saloon, shows, a lovely zoo, a cactus garden and places to eat and drink. Drive further into the desert from Aguadulce for more Wild West fun and shows at Fort Bravo.
