About the hotel
This charming hotel enjoys a great location in Platanias, Chania of Crete. It is next to the magnificent beach of Platanias and a five minute walk away from Iardanos river where one can practice bird watching. Guests may enjoy scuba diving, skiing, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, water motorcycling and many other sea sports and those who like seclusion can isolate themselves near the river area. Platanias offers a wide range of restaurants, bars, amusement parks and sports opportunities within walking distance from the hotel. Chania town with its medieval old town, its museums and shopping opportunities is a twenty minute bus ride or eleven kilometers away. Guests can organise trips to the countryside where they can walk, cycle or explore the region by car. The famous beaches of Falasarna and Elafonisi are easily reached as well as Samaria gorge and the picturesque villages of the southern region of Crete. Proimos Maisonnettes guests can easily access the Samaria gorge and the hotel can organize hiking trips, horse riding tours as well as other excursions. Furthermore, in close proximity to this hotel lie a number of shopping opportunities, dining options and entertainment venues. The maisonnettes are spacious, ranging from 34 to 65 square meters and affording the utmost in comfort. They are essentially two types: family maisonnettes wh=ich can accommodate four to five persons and couple maisonnettes for two to three persons. The Frog Island Snack Bar prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner with the best local organic ingredients and recipes and offers a list of the best regional red and white wines.
