Formerly a Bedouin fishing village, located approximately 80 km (50 miles) northeast of the holiday resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab is considered to be one of the Sinai's most treasured diving destinations. Dahab is also a world-renowned windsurfing destination because of the reliable winds that provide outstanding surfing conditions, especially in the Lagoon area.
