On the east coast of Ibiza lies the holiday resort of Cala Llonga. Cala Llonga is quieter than its more famous neighbours, but still able to offer everything that constitutes a good holiday.

Beautiful beaches and a nearby golf course add to the charm of a holiday in Cala Llonga, as does the breathtaking back drop of the pine hills. Transfer time from Ibiza Airport to Cala Llonga is approximately 45 minutes.

Beaches on Holiday in Cala Llonga:

Located on the south-east coast, Cala Llonga lays behind a deep and sheltered bay which is framed by pine clad hills and has a family friendly wide sandy beach. The beach at Cala Llonga is approx 190 metres long and 100 metres wide and it's light golden sands slope gently into the clear sea.

The Cala Llonga beach has plenty of sun loungers and the waters are safe for swimming and great for snorkelling. There is a diving centre in Cala Llonga and other watersports available include pedalos, parasailing, windsurfing and water-skiing.

Things to do in Cala Llonga:

Whilst on holiday in Cala Llonga stroll along the lane and through the pine trees to the nearby, quieter little beach of Sol d'en Serra (approx 1km) and the charming Amante Beach Club which overlooks the bay of Cala Llonga.

In Cala Llonga there are mini amusements for young children and, at the end of the Cala Llonga beach there is also a playground, with a few benches where you can watch your children play, under the welcome shade of the pine trees.

Ibiza Golf Club lies just behind the resort of Cala Llonga and is open to non-members. It features an 18 hole course, a 9 hole course and a practice range.

Take the morning ferry from the quay in Cala Llonga and spend the day on the neighbouring holiday island of Formentera. The crossing takes about an hour and ferries operate from May to October.

Out and about on Holiday in Cala Llonga:

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in Cala Llonga, most of which are on the road behind Cala Llonga beach. Everyday shopping is available in Cala Llonga too, such as supermarkets and chemists.

Cala Llonga is a family friendly holiday resort and nightlife is relatively low key, although there are plenty of bars to choose from and seasonal entertainment, such as live music and shows at most of the hotels in Cala Llonga. For livelier nightlife head out from Cala Llonga for Ibiza Town or across the island to San Antonio.

Nearby Attractions to Cala Llonga:

For boutique clothing and a wider choice of shops out of Cala Llonga you might want to pop into Santa Eulalia (5km) or Ibiza Town (approx 10km). Both towns are worth exploring and can easily be reached by bus, taxi or ferry from Cala Llonga.

The ever popular market at Es Cana is held on Wednesdays and is approx 10km from Cala Llonga.
